Women are lazy!

At work we have a unisex bathroom. This morning I go in, and someone has taped the following note to the tank "please put the seat down". Now this is a polite note, but why not just put the seat down before you sit? Why do women constantly complain about the seat being up? Would they rather the guys pee all over it? It take 2 seconds to put the seat down before you sit!! I think women are just lazy.

A long overdue update

WOW it's been ages since I blogged. I'm still working in Minneapolis as a contract attorney. I enjoy it because with each new case, I work with a new group of people. I also get some nice time off, unfortuantely it's unpaid.

I've heard rumblings that the CW may cancel Gilmore Girls. If they do, I hope they pair Lorelai and Luke back up! Christopher is a putz! Heroes is an awesome new show. Unfortunately we won't get a new episode until April 23. Bluck! Supernatural has new episodes!!

Max recovered from his broken leg just fine. His latest escapade involved attempting to eat the dashboard off Chris' car. He wanted the beef jerky in the glove compartment. How does the insurance company handle "the dog ate my car"? I'll keep you posted.

More thoughts

Well, the sun finally decided to grace Minneapolis and St. Paul with its presence. It's been WAY too long. Hopefully that will encourage warm weather and more sun.

The fates are conspiring against me work-wise! I talked to a person on the doc review project I was on and he said he had started on a new project today. Yet earlier in the week, when I stated to the HR person that I wanted to be put on a new doc review project, she told me that none were starting. Someone wants to keep me on the trained monkey project. They let one of the team go today due to lack of available work. I'm very upset that I was retained and they let a single mom go. She has two kids to support.

At least it's Friday and we have a beautiful weekend ahead!

The sun is attempting to return!!

After WEEKS of gloomy weather, it looks like the sun is attempting to make an appearance over downtown Minneapolis. It's amazes me how the weather can effect my mood.

Work woes

Lack of blogging: I haven't blogged lately due to the review project I was on, I actually had work to do and it kept me busy. I'd like to be busy at work.

Work headaches: Ok, so I've been working at a job now for nearly 8 months that when I started the job I was told "it could last up to six months, or it could end tomorrow." Apparently now the job could go another year. If I'm here a year from now, I'll go clinically insane. The Twincities market is overrun by attorneys! I would like to say to whomever allowed St. Thomas to open a law school should be drug into the street in slow motion. 4 schools is entirely too many. The market is flooded.

Reality TV: On reality TV, society permits way too much of it. I must say that it's pretty cool that I know someone on a reality TV show. But, I for the most part believe they degrade human beings. I think it's an indication of how poor the market is when attorneys are joining reality TV shows.

Lack of sun: Minneapolis has seen no sun in almost two weeks. The gray and gloomy weather is depressing. I think even the ducks and other water-loving creatures are missing the sun. Sunny and warm would be nice.

Star Wars: I can't wait to see "Revenge of the Sith". Of course we're not taking the munchkin due to the violence and PG-13 rating. It'll be awesome to see how the story concludes and brings us to "A New Hope".

This is way too much

I'm really thinking there are far too many old tv shows being made into movies. I just noticed today that "The Dukes of Hazzard" is a movie with Willie Nelson and Jessica Simpson. I think this is just nuts. Are movie people so uncreative that they can't draft an original plot, script and movie????

Cold weather returns

Well, we're back in the Minnesota freezer, 16 degrees currently. Of course, if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it'll change!

We had a great weekend, Saturday we went out to New Ulm for Bockfest, drank beer, hiked and hung out with college friends. It was in the 50's so the hiking was very pleasant even though I fell up a hill and came out a mudball. I'm glad jeans wash so easily.

Superbowl was fun on Sunday although it was a smaller than usual gathering, the number of kids present almost equalled the number of adults. I'll have to email pictures of Ashleen and Becca in their princess dresses. However, the commercials weren't all that good this year.

Sunny day boredom

It's a beautiful, sunny, Minnesota day and I'm stuck at work. I don't have enough to do so I'm on the net finding things to do. I've researched a pro bono case and am now creating my BLOG. I'm doing it so my friends who are interested can check up on me. I'm thankful it's FRIDAY!!!
